It has been so long since I updated.  Well I am starting over technically I have started over.  As of June 5&lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;th&lt;/span&gt;.  I am doing things a bit differently now.  I am just being healthier by not eating as much and more activity.  I am going through a website to keep track with my food intake and exercise.  So far so good.  I am enjoying this because I can still eat everything I want I just can't eat it all at the same time or I watch how much of everything I eat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway you get the point. I really thought yesterday would not be so great because of the part of potato I ate but it turned out not bad. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My plan for this week was to do the best I could and just see how much I could loose in one week.  So far so good.  Man if I could hit 10 lbs lost in one week how awesome would that be. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On top of that, all this is without exercise.  I have been wanting to go but working it into our day just is not seeming to happen.  We have a pretty good routine going on for the after noon and night time routine and if I went to work out after work that would through it all off.  So my best time to go is in the morning before work and everyone who knows me know that is nearly impossible for me to do.  Maybe I cant get in the swing of it with tax season starting.  Who knows.  A friend of mine and I are thinking of seeing a personal trainer.  I would take off early one day a week.  That wouldn't be a big deal to do.  She is supposed to set it up and I haven't heard from her so we will see what happens with it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyways I am on my way that is the most important part. I am pleased and ready to continue. I hit a weight loss of 20 lbs on my birthday and then came the holidays and I decided I was going to enjoy them. I gained back 12 lbs. With the new year has come new determination. I am not feeling too hard on myself because I knew I was going to gain the weight because I decided I just wanted to relax and enjoy this first Christmas as a family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On with a new day. Yesterday officially started my new year. My new goal is to lose at least 10 lbs per month. By April 15&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;th&lt;/span&gt; the end of my busy tax season I want to weigh 185. I will be going to Cancun shortly after that and would love to feel great in my swim suit. I also hope to hit my total goal of 150 by my daughter's first birthday 8/7. I know this will take &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;alot&lt;/span&gt; of work and determination. I whole &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;heartily&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;believe&lt;/span&gt; I can do this with the support of my wife and other family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have found it very encouraging to see the numbers on the scale go down when I do right and up when I screw up because it makes things simple to me. I have been doing ok with the plan.  This morning I weighed 216.  I am happy.  I should meet 215 by my bday.  That was my original goal.  Thing slowed some but I still made  head way.  I recently pulled a muscle in my back.  It was horribly painful.  So that is my update.  Everything is going good.  I am looking forward to getting finished with the cpa exam and getting my back well so I can go to the gym.  I think when I start going to the gym I will really start making progress.  Well gotta go time to snuggle with my biggest motivation. I need to think of something that is attainable, realistic but still motivating.  I will keep thinking.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right now I am studying and trying to stay motivated on that front also.  This weekend we get to stay home and chill and I was really thinking about having a "splurge day" on Saturday but now that I am so close to having lost 10 lbs I am not sure I want to do that and then have to start back at 225 or something Sunday or Monday and then spend all of next week getting back to 220.  It is still up for debate so we will see.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are walking again today at lunch so that will be 4 out of 5 days this week which is good. Today she has to run some errands so I will be walking alone. This may suck because I don't have head phones that I know of but I do think I can manage a quick trip to walmart for the office before lunch and get me some.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I ate a little differently yesterday with the sandwhich from McD's and the lean cuisine but this morning when I got on the scale I had lost weight. I think it was from the crazy amount of water I drank. I am going to try to drink the same amount today. I thought at first it was because I did not drink enough this weekend but since Monday I have walked a mile at lunch everyday and drank water like crazy and still went up...I don't know what the deal is so I am going back to super strict I was doing so good and I want to continue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will be so glad when this CPA exam crap is over because I will be able to go to the gym. I am studying cost accounting now and that is probably my weakest skill so I need to focus which is hard to do when every 5 mins I am being beconed to fix a cell phone or change the paper in a printer or whatever tech thing cannot be done independently.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh well I feel more prepared for this one than I did the other so that is good. I think this Saturday I am taking Emma to her first football game. I am going to see how the weather is first of course because I don't want her overheating or anything but Char goes back to work this weekend and I AM NOT STAYING IN STUDYING ALL WEEKEND!!! I got up Saturday and weighed and I was 224.6 so that was great.  Of course I got off my schedule and didn't drink as much water and didn't eat timely but I still did good.  I even managed to pass a plate of hot fresh out of the oven cookies and didn't even loose my mind about not eating one.  Fresh out of the oven are my fav. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sat we went for a walk in morning.  It was great.  Then I studied which is what I need to be doing right now. I did get a little hungry sometime after supper but Char made me a small bowl of eggs salad and that hit the spot. I was very happy this morning when I saw the scales. Seeing progress make me more excited about doing this. I am currently studying for the CPA exam so exercise time is very small and with a new baby in the house it is hard to get up early after waking up at 3 or 4 even though I am not the one feeding her. I have been walking with Char and our neighbor so that is good. When I get some more time I am going to mix a track to work out to. I have some songs picked out and I am going to use a program on my laptop to mix them together. I got the idea from some of these couch to 5 k podcast. They are great and I may end up using those anyway if this is more of a job than I thought but a lot of those are techno and I don't dig it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well I need to get to work. My goal today is to get enough done now so I can study at work this afternoon and be able to go on the walk tonight. MAYBE. Today I began Creating a New Leigh. I was in a wedding this weekend and while taking pictures I realized I was the fattest person in the whole wedding party. I felt like such a slob. I had to think about how I would position myself in every picture so my gut didn't hang out. It was horrible. Then Saturday night while Char was breast feeding, I was reading a Shape magazine and the article was about active vacations and one was surf camp. I thought to myself that would be ideal but noooo....I would probably get winded and not be able to get up on the board. And I realized how true this was. I was kind of scared.
