Today I was so excited when I got on the scale. Things are going great I just need to study for the exam on Friday. So until I am through with that these will be short.

Day Eight

Ok this weekend was great Saturday I got up and weighed 224.6 so I did gain about .8 but I didn't drink my water like I have been at work and I didn't eat as scheduled as I do at work. I did have chinese on Sunday so that may have not been so great but I tried to eat just meat and veggies. I am pleased with the weekend over all. I don't feel like I slipped up or anything. I am back to my routine this morning though and I got to get to studying.

Food so far:
- 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
- v8
- coke zero
- cheese stick
- salad with leftover steak on it
- sugar free jello
- cherry tomatos with ranch
- chick filet
- asparagus
- snow peas

Days Six & Seven

So this weekend went pretty good. I got up Saturday and weighed and I was 224.6 so that was great. Of course I got off my schedule and didn't drink as much water and didn't eat timely but I still did good. I even managed to pass a plate of hot fresh out of the oven cookies and didn't even loose my mind about not eating one. Fresh out of the oven are my fav.

Sat we went for a walk in morning. It was great. Then I studied which is what I need to be doing right now. So I am going to close this post and do today's actual post.

Today I am still motivated but only lost .6 lbs from yesterday. I knew this day would come kind of the first hump but also I felt like I ate a lot yesterday when I looked at the list. Anyways here it is today.

Today is an awesome day. I have lost 5 lbs and I feel great. That is 2% of my body weight wooot woot. Emma slept through the night again last night. I am so proud. I went for a walk with the fam last night. It was the first time I was like hey you want to make another round. By the end when we had to come back up the hill I was a bit thinking "self! what were you thinking!" but it felt good.

Food today:
- substitute eggs
- one piece Canadian bacon
- v8 juice
- lettuce wrap with ham, onion and mayo in it ( it was about 3 inches long -3 bites)
- salad with tuna
- coke zero
- sugar free jello
- cheese stick

I was so excited this morning when I got on the scales. WOOOT WOOOT that is 3 pounds since Monday. I am sure a lot of it has to do with me increasing my water intake but shoot I don't care.

Status of how I feel....GREAT! I feel more energetic and don't want to take a nap every afternoon. I even feel great today after I got up 3 times to pee last night. OH BY THE WAY EMMA SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT LAST NIGHT ....give me another WOOT WOOT!!

- handful of pistachios
- leftover pot roast
- cheese and ham roll up

Yesterday went great. I did get a little hungry sometime after supper but Char made me a small bowl of eggs salad and that hit the spot. I was very happy this morning when I saw the scales. Seeing progress make me more excited about doing this. I am currently studying for the CPA exam so exercise time is very small and with a new baby in the house it is hard to get up early after waking up at 3 or 4 even though I am not the one feeding her. I have been walking with Char and our neighbor so that is good. When I get some more time I am going to mix a track to work out to. I have some songs picked out and I am going to use a program on my laptop to mix them together. I got the idea from some of these couch to 5 k podcast. They are great and I may end up using those anyway if this is more of a job than I thought but a lot of those are techno and I don't dig it.

Well I need to get to work. My goal today is to get enough done now so I can study at work this afternoon and be able to go on the walk tonight. MAYBE. I do really have to study for this next section of the test Oct 3rd....wish me luck.

Ok here goes. Today I began Creating a New Leigh. I was in a wedding this weekend and while taking pictures I realized I was the fattest person in the whole wedding party. I felt like such a slob. I had to think about how I would position myself in every picture so my gut didn't hang out. It was horrible. Then Saturday night while Char was breast feeding, I was reading a Shape magazine and the article was about active vacations and one was surf camp. I thought to myself that would be ideal but noooo....I would probably get winded and not be able to get up on the board. And I realized how true this was. I was kind of scared. I have a 6 wk old daughter who is my pride and joy and I don't want to spend our time together trying to catch my breath when I should be really playing with her.

SO TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!!

I am blogging here about it because I want to do this and hold myself accountable.

I have spoke with a dietitian about my weight and high cholesterol and PCOS and she has recommended a Low Carb diet and Exercise so that is the plan.





Food eaten today:
- 2 eggs
- meat & Greek salad for lunch
- chicken breast with broccoli cauliflower and a little cheese
- two hardboiled eggs made into small egg salad
